On the night of July 30, Moscow was attacked by drones – the Moscow City business district was hit, the facades of two towers were damaged. The mayor of the city, Sergei Sobyanin, said that the drones were fired by Ukrainian troops – Kyiv has not yet commented on this data.

Mayor Sobyanin also said that no one was injured in the attack, however, according to emergency services, a guard in the Oko-2 tower was wounded. There are only civilian buildings in this district.

Since the beginning of May, the Moscow region has been attacked six times by drones. On the night of July 30, Ukrainian drones damaged two high-rise buildings in Moscow City, several drones were shot down in the Moscow region.

The tower of the “IQ quarter” was evacuated after the incident.

“The United Nations opposes attacks on civilian infrastructure“, said Farhan Haq, deputy spokesman for the organization’s secretary-general.

We are against all attacks on civilian infrastructure,” said the UN official, commenting on the drone attack on Moscow City.
