On 5 and 6 August, discussions for a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine were held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia with the participation of diplomats and national security advisers from more than 40 countries. Russia did not participate in the meeting. The event brought together representatives from the United States, Great Britain, South Korea, Australia, as well as China, India, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Argentina, Egypt, Chile, South Africa, some European Union (EU) countries, etc.
