The American journalist Tucker Carlson said on July 3 that he had arranged an interview with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The journalist’s team has been trying to achieve this conversation for two years, that is, since the beginning of hostilities in Ukraine on February 24, 2022. He added that the interview may be released in the near future.

“We have been trying for two years, especially intensively after the February interview with Putin. The point is to convey to the Americans the necessary information about the conflict, which completely changes the position of their country in the world,” Tucker Carlson wrote on social network X.

On February 9, Tucker Carlson published an interview with the Russian President Vladimir Putin lasting 2 hours and 7 minutes. The conversation was devoted to relations between Russia and the United States, the conflict in Ukraine, as well as the relations of the Russian side with NATO. The journalist explained that he decided to talk to the Russian president, since the U.S. citizens do not know about what is happening in Russia and Ukraine. Tucker Carlson later said that Volodymyr Zelensky had rejected “numerous requests” for interviews.
