Tesla plans to launch its Full Self-Driving (FSD) system in China and Europe in the first quarter of 2025, pending regulatory approval.

This announcement comes after a slight delay from earlier projections. CEO Elon Musk expressed optimism about obtaining the necessary approvals by the end of 2024, which would allow the rollout to proceed as planned.

The FSD system is an advanced driver assistance feature, although it does not enable fully autonomous driving. Drivers are still required to remain attentive and ready to take control of the vehicle when necessary.

In China, Tesla has faced regulatory challenges and technical hurdles, particularly due to the unique landscape of electric scooters and other non-motorized vehicles that will interact with the FSD system.Overall, the rollout of FSD in these markets is seen as a significant step for Tesla, which aims to enhance its competitive edge in the rapidly evolving automotive landscape.
