The Israeli army has issued urgent evacuation orders for residents in several neighborhoods of Beirut’s southern suburbs, specifically targeting areas like Borj El Brajneh and Hadath. This directive comes amid escalating military operations against Hezbollah, with the Israeli military claiming that these neighborhoods are being used by the group for military purposes. Residents have been instructed to evacuate immediately and to maintain a distance of at least 500 meters from specified locations.
This latest call for evacuation follows a series of intense airstrikes conducted by Israel, which have reportedly resulted in significant casualties. Over the past few days, Israeli forces have launched more than 30 airstrikes in the region, marking a notable escalation since the conflict reignited. The Lebanese Health Ministry has reported that recent strikes have led to over 1,000 fatalities and thousands of injuries, with nearly one million people displaced across Lebanon.

In light of these developments, the international community has expressed concerns about the potential for a broader regional conflict, especially given the ongoing tensions stemming from Israel’s military actions in Gaza and its confrontations with Hezbollah.

Israel has confirmed the killing of Hezbollah’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah, in a series of airstrikes conducted in Beirut on Saturday. This operation is part of Israel’s broader military campaign against Hezbollah, which has intensified in recent weeks amid ongoing conflict in the region. The airstrikes reportedly targeted Nasrallah’s command center and resulted in significant destruction in densely populated areas, leading to at least six fatalities and numerous injuries among civilians.
