She will conclude her campaign with a star-studded rally in Philadelphia featuring high-profile figures like Lady Gaga and Oprah Winfrey. This strategy aims to galvanize support from working-class voters and underscore Pennsylvania’s critical role in her path to victory.

Harris’s campaign has also mobilized over 90,000 volunteers to increase voter turnout, reflecting confidence from her team despite acknowledging she is still considered an underdog in this tight race.
Donald Trump’s Final Push
Donald Trump is executing a multi-state campaign strategy, starting his day in Raleigh, North Carolina, before heading to Pennsylvania for rallies in Reading and Pittsburgh. He will wrap up his campaign with a late-night event in Grand Rapids, Michigan—an area he has previously chosen for his final rallies in past elections. Trump’s campaign is banking on his populist appeal to resonate with younger and working-class voters while maintaining an optimistic outlook despite facing significant challenges.

Both candidates are focusing on swing states that could determine the election outcome. Polls indicate a highly competitive landscape, with Harris showing narrow leads in Nevada, North Carolina, and Wisconsin, while Trump leads in Arizona. The stakes are particularly high in Pennsylvania, as both candidates recognize that winning this state could be pivotal for securing the necessary electoral votes.

Both Harris and Trump were able to become candidates largely due to coincidence. Trump’s rise in ratings was triggered by the first indictments against him in the spring of 2023, which disoriented Democrats, who had hoped that legal problems and intra-party opposition would cause Trump’s political machine to stall, but instead he received an increase in sympathy among citizens. Trump’s success has also been helped by his ability to use his influence on his “core electorate” to strip his opponents in the party of nominations in the congressional primaries. Harris’s entry into the race looked like a forced decision after Biden lost to Trump in the first presidential debate on June 27. The Democrats, apparently, could not replace Biden at earlier stages for fear of a “stampede” in the primaries, which would have become an expensive and energy-consuming event. Why change something if it already seems to work? They came to their senses only when Biden’s lag became very obvious.
