EssilorLuxottica, the maker of Ray-Ban eyewear, reported strong revenue growth in Q4/FY 2024 results, driven by positive trends in North America and China.

Key Highlights from EssilorLuxottica’s Financial Performance:

Q4 2024 Revenue Growth: EssilorLuxottica’s fourth-quarter revenue increased by 9.2% in constant currency, exceeding estimates of 5.86%.

Full Year 2024 Performance: The company’s adjusted net income for 2024 was 3.12 billion euros. Free cash flow for 2024 reached 2.41 billion euros.

North America: Revenue in North America saw an increase of 7.8% in Q4, marking the region’s best quarter of the year. However, North America’s growth has been slower compared to other regions throughout the year.

EMEA Region: Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) experienced a 5.3% revenue increase, establishing itself as a significant growth driver, partly attributed to increased adoption of the subscription model.

Direct to Consumer (DTC): The DTC segment saw revenue reach €6,876 million in the first half of 2024, representing a 5.7% increase at constant exchange rates compared to the previous year.

Full Year Revenue: Total revenue for the year reached 26.5 billion euros, slightly above analysts’ forecasts of 26.4 billion euros. The company is targeting revenues between 27 and 28 billion euros by 2026.

Operating Profit: Adjusted operating profit rose by 9.4% to 4.4 billion euros. The company is aiming for an adjusted operating profit equal to 19-20% of revenues by 2026, up from 17% at the end of last year.

Strategic Developments and Products:

EssilorLuxottica is expanding into new sectors, including medical and high-tech.

The company has sold 2 million units of Ray-Ban Meta smartglasses since their launch.

Stellest myopia management lenses are experiencing “exponential growth”.

New collections are expected from house and licensed brands, including the first collection for Moncler. The acquisition of Supreme has also been announced.
