Since the beginning of the year, 213 Chinese car showrooms have closed in Russia due to the loss of investors. This was stated in TASS with reference to a study by Gazprombank Autoleasing.

Russian dealers and importers announced large-scale sales of Chinese cars in March. They offered discounts of up to 1 million rubles to free warehouses from excess stock. The sales period, according to experts, will last until mid-summer 2025, after which, when the stocks are sold out, prices for new supplies may rise again.

According to Autostat business data, sales of new cars in Russia in the first week of April increased by 16% compared to the last week of March, amounting to 24.4 thousand units. The general director of the agency, Sergey Tselikov, noted that there is a trend for recovery in the market. According to market participants, sales in April may grow to 87 thousand cars.
