Ukrainian negotiators will arrive today at the Dolmabahce Palace, in Istanbul. However, the negotiations between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations will not take place today, reported our local sources.
Earlier, the TASS news agency, citing a source, reported that the direct talks between Russia and Ukraine scheduled for May 15 in Istanbul could be postponed to Friday, May 16.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, at the end of a meeting with Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan, also said that Russian-Ukrainian negotiations could begin either on the evening of May 15 or on Friday. He reported that the Ukrainian delegation had already left Ankara for Istanbul. Prior to that, the Ukrainian leader announced that Defense Minister Rustem Umerov would head the delegation.

Negotiations between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul were scheduled for May 15. The Russian delegation arrived in Istanbul on Thursday morning, it is headed by presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky. Medinsky is a Russian political figure, academic and publicist who served as the Russian Minister of Culture from May 2012 to January 2020.
