The price of a product is formulated not on the basis of today’s prices, but according to a formula that is “purely objective and market in nature.”

The signing of the agreement on the new gas pipeline is not timed to coincide with the last meeting with the leadership of the PRC. This is the result of many years of work by business entities on both sides, he explained.

Relations with President Trump

“The talks in Anchorage showed that the US President’s Special Envoy Steven Witkoff reliably conveys Russia’s position on the results of the Russian-American talks.”

“Trump’s duties on Brazil were related to domestic political alignments, and not to Russia’s special operation in Ukraine”, Putin said.

In June 2025, Russia arrested multiple ethnic Azerbaijanis in Yekaterinburg as part of an investigation into a 2001 murder. During their detention, two brothers died under suspicious circumstances that Azerbaijan blamed on Russian police use of force. This sparked outrage in Azerbaijan and a sharp diplomatic rift between Moscow and Baku

“Modern medicine can significantly prolong a person’s life”, Putin stated. The Russian president said that he talked about this with Chinese President Xi Jinping, on the possibility of people living to 150 years thanks to bio-innovation.

“The unipolar world must cease to exist”, stated the Russian President. “Multipolarity does not imply the emergence of “new hegemons,” it is about the equal rights of all participants in international communication”, he added. He clarified that no country should dominate politically or in security matters, despite the existence of economic powerhouses like China and India. According to Putin, all countries should hold equal status under international law, and the multipolar world is based on principles of fairness and mutual respect.

Vladimir Putin highlighted the role of the SCO in fostering a just, multipolar world order and underscored that the cooperation between Russia, China, and other member states aims to strengthen solidarity, address global challenges, and promote international law with the United Nations at its core. He rejected any notion of new global hegemons emerging within this multipolar framework.

Russia and China are key drivers of the vision for a multipolar world order, closely aligned within the BRICS alliance along with other emerging economies. In 2025, their partnership within BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is accelerating efforts to challenge Western dominance and promote a new global order.

China and Russia are two nuclear powers, which became closer in the 2000s. China is the main ally of Russia on the international stage. Both are founding member states of the BRICS, in 2006. Beijing has been supporting Moscow, since the beginning of the war in Ukraine on February 24, 2022, and has criticized the expansion towards east of NATO and the U.S. geopolitical influence. This partnership between Russia and China is driven by a shared goal of challenging the U.S.-led global order and countering Western influence.

At the military parade held on September 3 in Beijing to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and the Victory on Japan, over 12,000 troops of the China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) participated.
