Apple is preparing to release its first MacBook Pro with a touchscreen display by late 2026 or early 2027, marking a significant shift from the company’s previous stance against touchscreen Macs. This new model will feature an OLED display, a hole-punch front camera replacing the notch design, and a thinner, lighter chassis. It will be powered by Apple’s next-generation M6 chip series.
The laptop will retain a keyboard and trackpad, with touch functionality augmenting traditional input methods. Apple has developed reinforced hinges to prevent screen movement when touched. This premium model is expected to be priced higher than current MacBook Pros.
