The biggest stock movers on Wednesday, October 29, were :
Nvidia (NVDA): Shares jumped about 5.2% to $211.47, pushing Nvidia to a historic $5 trillion market capitalization. The rise was driven by CEO Jensen Huang’s announcements about manufacturing AI supercomputers for the U.S. energy sector and a $1 billion investment in Finnish firm Nokia to support AI initiatives.
Joby Aviation (JOBY): JOBY stock price jumped +8.58 % today, hitting $16.95, after the eVTOL company announced a new partnership with Nvidia, the biggest company in the world.
Enphase Energy (ENPH): Despite reporting increased earnings for Q3, Enphase’s stock dropped over 10% as the company forecasted declining revenue for the next quarter.
Turning to Q4, Enphase warned that sales will range from only $310 to $350 million, a steep fall from Q3 and way below the $383 million Wall Street was projecting. Gross profit margin will also be down a lot, ranging from only 40% to, at most, 43%.
Caterpillar’s Stock Up 12% After Impressive Q3 Earnings : Caterpillar Inc. delivered a solid quarter that beat on both earnings and revenue, signaling resilient demand across its heavy equipment business even as margin pressure and cost headwinds weighed on profitability. The stock was stable in after-hours trading following the pre-market release, holding near $523 after rallying 25% over the past month.
