Fiserv stock plunged sharply—by as much as 47% on October 29, 2025—following a disappointing Q3 earnings report and a broad executive shakeup led by the new CEO, Mike Lyons.

“By now, you’ve seen our results and revised guidance for the year,” Fiserv CEO Mike Lyons told analysts Wednesday. “While disappointing, the actions we are taking are driven by a rigorous analysis of the company conducted during the third quarter and represent a critical and necessary reset and a revitalizing moment for the company.”

The company reported adjusted earnings of $2.04 per share, significantly missing the $2.65 analyst consensus estimate, and revenue of $4.92 billion, falling short of expectations and showing slow organic growth of just 1% year-over-year.

In response, Fiserv drastically cut its full-year 2025 earnings guidance to $8.50-$8.60 per share from the prior $10.15-$10.30 estimate and announced a “One Fiserv” strategic reset aimed at enhancing operational excellence, client focus, and innovation.

The leadership changes include appointing co-presidents Takis Georgakopoulos and Dhivya Suryadevara, with new CFO Paul Todd joining soon.

The stock’s slide marks a seven-year low and erases tens of billions in market value, reflecting investor concern about the company’s near-term outlook and execution challenges.
