On November 4, China launched a new initiative called the “Big Market for All: Export to China” program aimed at boosting imports and promoting itself as a major market opportunity.

The program includes a series of 10 major annual events featuring participation from five to six countries, intended to facilitate mutually beneficial trade cooperation. It will feature special exhibitions, targeted purchases, and support for partner nations to set up national online shops on leading Chinese e-commerce platforms. This initiative responds to global concerns about China’s large trade surplus and aims to balance imports and exports more effectively.

The Chinese government plans to publish annual reports starting in 2026 to review the impact of the program and assess partner countries’ export capabilities. The program underscores China’s strategy to make itself the best export destination and engine of growth for more countries, amid ongoing trade tensions with the United States.
