Nvidia reported strong Q4 fiscal 2026 results on February 25 after market close, with revenue of $68.1 billion exceeding analyst expectations of $66.1 billion, driven by a 75% surge in data center sales to $62.3 billion. Net income rose 94% year-over-year to $43 billion, and the company guided for $78 billion in Q1 revenue, well above Wall Street’s $72.6 billion forecast. Despite these beats, shares fell sharply the next day amid investor skepticism about sustained AI spending by customers.
Stock Market Performance
Major indices closed mixed on February 26, pressured by Nvidia’s drop and broader tech weakness. The Nasdaq Composite declined 1.2% to 22,878.38, the S&P 500 fell 0.5% to 6,908.86, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average edged up 0.03% to 49,499.20.
Nvidia (NVDA) shares dropped 5.55%, closing at $184.71 after losing $10.85 per share, erasing $259 billion in market cap.
