Christian Dior brand applied for trademark registration with Rospatent.
The French brand Christian Dior will return to Russia.
Christian Dior has applied to Rospatent for registration of Dior, Dioramour and Gem Dior trademarks, as well as a logo with a stylized image of the letters C and D. According to Rospatent, applications for brand registration were submitted by the French company Christian Dior Couture, located in Paris at 30 Avenue Montaigne.

After registration of the marks, the company will be able to produce and sell clothes, hats and shoes for men, women and children, sports shoes, bags, porcelain products, ceramics, faience, terracotta or glass, as well as cosmetic bags on the Russian market.
The day eve it became known that Hugo Boss stores would reopen in Russia. It is assumed that 19 stores will return to work at the same time and “will be no different from the old ones.” At the same time, the legal entity of the store owner will change from Hugo Boss Rus to Link Fashion.
The decision to return aligns with a broader trend among luxury brands reassessing their presence in the Russian market. While Dior had previously halted shipments and closed its 124 boutiques, there have been indications of a recovery in demand.
The luxury sector’s involvement in Russia has been complicated by international sanctions and the overall economic climate, but the brand’s return suggests a potential shift in strategy as it navigates these challenges. As Dior re-enters the market, it will likely focus on adapting to the new economic landscape and consumer behavior in Russia, which has seen affluent consumers continue to seek luxury goods despite the ongoing tensions.

Earlier, the U.S. company Starbucks Corporation filed applications with the Federal Service for Intellectual Property for the registration of 14 trademarks in Russia. According to the Rospatent database, applications were sent from the end of May to June 1, 2024.
