The five subsidiaries of the Bouygues Holding will present at 2:30 p.m. via webcast a target for reducing their greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, compatible with the Paris Agreement (limitation of global warming to 1.5 ° C), as well as their action plan to achieve this.

Aware of the climate emergency, the French Bouygues this morning revealed its new environmental strategy aimed at reducing its greenhouse gases. As part of the 2015 Paris Climate Agreement, the group aims to reduce greenhouse gases by 2030 on scopes 1 (direct emissions), 2 (indirect emissions linked to energy consumption), 3a (other indirect emissions upstream) and 3b (other emissions indirect downstream).
Each of the group’s entities has specific reduction targets.
Bouygues Construction will therefore aim to reduce its greenhouse gases by 40% in scopes 1 and 2, and by 30% in scope 3a compared to 2019. Bouygues Immobilier’s objectives will be -32% in all scopes compared to 2020. As for Bouygues Telecom, it will aim for a reduction of 50% on scopes 1 and 2, and 30% on scopes 3a and 3b compared to 2020.
The French holding also wants to support its customers in their own reduction of their carbon footprint, by developing complete low-carbon solutions over the entire life cycle of the project, and by proposing post-delivery consumption management measures.
On February 20, 2020, Bouygues made a commitment to publish a climate compatible strategy before the end of the year, compatible with the requirements of the Paris Agreement, including measurable and quantifiable objectives. Mobilization of its five subsidiaries since that date has made it possible to keep this commitment, in spite of a challenging year, due to the Covid-19 health crisis.
Bouygues is a diversified French industrial group founded in 1952 by Francis Bouygues and headed by his son Martin Bouygues.
The group is structured around three activities: construction with Bouygues Construction, Bouygues Immobilier and Colas, telecommunications with Bouygues Telecom and media through the TF1 group.
In 2019, Bouygues turnover amounted to € 37.9 billion. At the end of 2019, the group is established in nearly 92 countries on 5 continents and employs more than 130,500 people, including 63,852 abroad.
