The French company Danone announced that it was suspending investment projects in Russia, but would retain the production of dairy products and baby food. The decision was made because of the armed conflict in Ukraine.

“We have decided to suspend all investment projects in Russia, but are currently maintaining our production and distribution of fresh dairy products and baby food in order to continue to meet the basic needs of the local population for food,” stated the French company in a press release signed by the General Secretary Laurent Sacchi.

Danone continues to monitor and assess, in real time, how the situation evolves and will, of course, apply the decisions of the French authorities with whom we remain closely coordinated.
