The spot price of gas in Europe by Tuesday evening exceeded $ 2,200 per thousand cubic meters on expectations of the failure of another gas pumping unit at Nord Stream gas pipeline.

The cost of the nearest (August) futures on TTF on the ICE Futures exchange on Tuesday evening rose to $ 2,244. A day earlier, trading closed at $ 1,852, and on average since the beginning of the month, quotes amounted to $ 1,720.
